Roomtone preset FAQ

How do I use these Roomtone presets?
All 401 factory presets ship inside Roomtone Amp Sim and load from the plugin's preset menu. The next Roomtone release adds preset export and import. Once live, you'll be able to download any preset on this page as an XML file and drop it straight into the plugin.
What genres and artist styles do the presets cover?
Presets span indie, shoegaze, bedroom pop, lo-fi hip-hop, dream pop, worship, post-rock, math rock, midwest emo, classic rock, and 80s / 90s alternative. Many are built around specific artist tones and signal-chain studies. The kind of dial-in research that would take weeks to reproduce from scratch.
Can I submit my own presets or suggest updates?
Yes. Community uploads and factory-update proposals open with the next Roomtone release. Approved update proposals replace the corresponding factory preset in the next plugin version and contributors are credited in the release notes.
Does Roomtone Amp Sim run on Mac and Windows?
Yes. Roomtone runs as a VST3 / AU plugin and a standalone app on macOS (universal, Intel + Apple Silicon) and Windows. Mac builds are signed and notarized by Apple.
How much does Roomtone Amp Sim cost?
Roomtone Amp Sim is a one-time $29 USD purchase on the product page. All 401 factory presets and future updates are included. No subscription, no tier gating.
Is there a free trial or demo?
Not currently, but every preset on this page can be browsed before purchase. The next plugin update adds preset-file downloads so you can audition each one.
